29 CFR 1904.29(b)(7)(v): Needlestick injuries and cuts from sharp objects that are contaminated with another person's blood or other potentially infectious material were not recorded on the OSHA 300 Log as a privacy case. As observed on or about December 1, 2022; the employer did not correctly enter the following work-related injuries on the OSHA - 300 form or equivalent for year 2022. a. On or about November 29, 2022, an employee was stuck in the finger by a contaminated suture needle, the employer did not record the case as a privacy case. b. On or about November 29, 2022, an employee was stuck in the finger by a contaminated gauge needle, the employer did not record the case as a privacy case. c. On or about November 11, 2022, an employee was stuck in the finger by a contaminated retractor, the employer did not record the case as a privacy case.
