29 CFR 1910.107(b)(5)(i):The average air speed over the open face of the paint spray booth was less than 100 linear feet per minute. Employees engaged in spray painting activities at the small paint booth of building 21 are exposed to combustible residues in that paint booth was less than 100 linear feet per minute. Employees uses HS Moly Gray paint, which, according to the Safety Data Sheets, is highly flammable liquid and vapor: 1) Air velocity measurements taken at the face of the paint booth indicated measurements of 35 feet per minute. 2) Air velocity measurements taken at the face of the ventilation system located in the right side of the small paint booth was 28 feet per minute. 3) Air velocity measurements taken at the face of the ventilation system located in the left side of the small paint booth was 48 feet per minute.
