29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): Employees shall be provided with eye and face protection equipment when machines or operations present potential eye or face injury from physical, chemical, or radiation agents. On or about September 22, 2022, an employee was exposed to eye injuries while using a pneumatic nail gun to install roof shingles and the employer did not ensure the use of eye protection. M & J GENERAL CONSTRUCTION L.L.C. WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD OR ITS EQUIVALENT STANDARD 29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1) WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER 1610172 CITATION NUMBER 1, ITEM NUMBER 1, AND WAS AFFIRMED AS A FINAL ORDER ON SEPTEMBER 7, 2022, WITH RESPECT TO A WORKPLACE LOCATED AT #12 VISION CIRCLE, MAHOMET, ILLINOIS 61853.
