29 CFR 1926.404(b)(1)(iii)(C): The employer did not ensure that each cord set, attachment cap, plug and receptacle of cord sets, and any equipment connected by cord and plug, except cord sets and receptacles which are fixed and not exposed to damage, were visually inspected before each day's use for external defects, such as deformed or missing pins or insulation damage, and for indications of possible internal damage. a) 2500 block Atlantic Ave (intersection) Texas Ave (Intersection), Atlantic City, NJ 08401: Employees at this location were exposed to shock hazard(s) when an extension cord with a missing ground prong was used with a portable dewatering pump in an excavation where accumulating water was identified. Condition observed on or about September 8th, 2022.
