29 CFR 1910.37(a)(3): Exit route(s) are not kept free and unobstructed: The employer does not protect each employee from hazards created by obstructing exit routes, such as potential injuries from fire or other emergencies while operating the store. a) This most recently occurred on or about August 25 and 26, 2022, during store operating hours in the back receiving room and north emergency exit of Dollar General Store No. 14377, located at 207 WI-27, Cadott, WI 54727; the employer does not ensure employees are protected from potential injuries from fire or other emergencies when obstructing the exit route to the double door emergency exit with carts/containers of various items. Dolgencorp, LLC dba Dollar General Store #13248 was previously cited for a willful - serious violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.37(a)(3), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1566292, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as final order on June 20, 2022, with respect to a workplace located at 880 Spruce Street, Baldwin, WI 54002. Dolgencorp, LLC dba Dollar General was previously cited for a repeat - serious violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.37(a)(3), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1507692, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as final order on June 10, 2021, with respect to a workplace located at 312 S. Hwy. 27/441, Lady Lake, FL 32159. Dolgencorp, LLC dba Dollar General Store #11979 was previously cited for a repeat - other violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.37(a)(3), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1376785, citation number 2, item number 1b and was affirmed as a final order on July 29, 2019 with respect to a workplace located at 7025 US-231, Panama City, FL 32405. To abate this hazard in the future, the employer must ensure exit route(s) are kept free and unobstructed.
