29 CFR 1926.651(j)(2): Protection was not provided by placing and keeping excavated or other materials or equipment at least 2 feet (.61m) from the edge of excavations, or by the use of retaining devices that were sufficient to prevent materials or equipment from falling or rolling into excavations, or by a combination of both if necessary: (a) West end of excavation; Employees were performing work in an excavation within close proximity of excavated earthen material that was not retained or set back at least 2 feet from the top edge. Haas Sons, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1926.651(j)(2), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1542473, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on September 9, 2021, with respect to a workplace located at 802 Broadway Street South, Menomonie, WI 54751.
