29 CFR 1926.760(a)(1):Each employee engaged in a steel erection activity who is on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge more than 15 feet (4.6 m) above a lower level was not protected from fall hazards by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, positioning device systems, or fall restraint systems. On or about August 25, 2022, on a commercial building being constructed, employees were exposed to a fall hazard exceeding fifteen feet when performing steel erection activities without a fall protection system. A&B STEEL ERECTORS WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD OR ITS EQUIVALENT STANDARD 29 CFR 1926.760(A)(1), WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER 1378490, CITATION NUMBER 1 ITEM NUMBER 1 AND WAS AFFIRMED AS A FINAL ORDER ON MAY 8, 2019 WITH A FINAL ABATEMENT DATE OF FEBRUARY 14, 2019, WITH RESPECT TO A WORKPLACE LOCATED AT 3851 OSAGE RD., HOUSTON, TX 77063.
