29 CFR 1910.30(a)(1):(a) Fall hazards. (1) Before any employee is exposed to a fall hazard, the employer must provide training for each employee who uses personal fall protection systems or who is required to be trained as specified elsewhere in this subpart. Employers must ensure employees are trained in the requirements of this paragraph on or before May 17, 2017. a. On or about June 29, 2022 the employer failed to provide training for employees exposed to fall hazards. Employees were not trained on fall hazards in the unloading dock area and how to recognize them. Employees were exposed to fall distances of over four feet to the concreate floor below, without adequate means of fall protection/prevention when unloading industrial containers and loading them onto the conveyer system to begin the production process.
