29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area: At a worksite located at 4800 Country Club Drive, Jefferson City, MO 65109: The employer is failing to protect employees from toxic or hazardous substances. The employer did not provide employees with effective training and information on the hazards associated with chemicals in the workplace. On or about May 6, 2022, employees were working to clean an ice machine when one employee became ill and was hospitalized after experiencing respiratory distress. This employee later died as a result of exposure to a toxic or hazardous substance on May 9, 2022.
