29 CFR 1910.147(c)(7)(iii)(A): Retraining shall be provided for all authorized and affected employees whenever there is a change in their job assignments, a change in machines, equipment or processes that present a new hazard, or when there is a change in the energy control procedures. a) On or about June 17, 2022, the employer did not retrain tumbler line operators when their job assignment was changed to include responsibility for adjusting and repositioning guides on the tumbler feed belt. Machine operators needed additional authorized employee training in energy control methods for that equipment including de-energization sequence and release from lockout, and recognition and use of all energy isolating devices.
