29 CFR 1910.37(a)(3): Exit routes must be kept free and unobstructed: a) Dollar General Corporation/ Dolgencorp, LLC located at 1106 W. Jackson Street Thomasville, GA 31792: The employer fails to ensure effective measures to prevent fire and obstruction hazards as demonstrated on or about June 14, 2022, and times prior, in the stock room, where employees move, work, and retrieve merchandise. The single emergency exit door was obstructed by U-boats with merchandise. To abate this hazard, the employer must ensure that exit doors are kept clear and unobstructed. Dollar General Corporation was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, 29 CFR 1910.37(a)(3), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1517332, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on June 22, 2021, with respect to a workplace located at 73 E Hollis St Nashua, NH 03060. To abate this hazard in the future, the employer must ensure exit routes are kept free and unobstructed.
