29 CFR 1910.22(a)(1): The employer does not ensure that all places of employment, passageways, storerooms, service rooms, and walking-working surfaces are not kept in a clean, orderly, and sanitary condition: a) The employer fails to ensure effective measures to prevent slip, trip and fall hazards, as demonstrated on or about May 23, 2022, and times prior, in the main store front area, where aisles were cluttered with product, boxes of product, and other materials. b) The employer fails to ensure effective measures to prevent slip, trip and fall hazards, as demonstrated on or about May 23, 2022, and times prior, in the stockroom, where employees move and receive stock. The stockroom was overpacked with boxes of product, U-boats, and roll-tainers such that there was no aisle or path for walking. Family Dollar Stores, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1910.22 (a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1480377, Citation number 1, Item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on May 24, 2021, with respect to a workplace located at 181 Straight Street, Paterson, NJ 07501.
