Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001 Hazard:
OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees, in that employees were exposed to excessive heat: On or about and at times prior to May 11, 2022, employees were exposed to the hazard of high ambient heat from working in direct sunlight, with heat indexes to 98 degrees Fahrenheit during the performance of their job duties, including landscaping activities . Such exposures are likely to lead to the development of serious heat-related illnesses such as, but not limited to, heat cramps, heat stress, heat exhaustion, and heat stroke.
