29 CFR 1910.179(n)(3)(i):The load was not well secured and properly balanced in the sling or lifting device before it was lifted more than a few inches: a) Line 45 - On or about May 9, 2022, an employee was utilizing a overhead crane with lifting device to move a paper roll onto a machine spindle. The employer did not ensure that employees utilize the stabilizing safety latch for the top of the paper roll. Failure to utilize this safety control contributed to the un-stability of the load.
