Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to struck-by hazards from the operation of the crane used to repair fishing nets: On May 2, 2022, in the net repair yard: The crane operator moved the suspended load without a clear view of the load and without a signal person to communicate with the crane operator. Employees were exposed to struck by hazards.
