29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(4): Ladders. Use. The following requirements apply to all ladders as indicated, including job-made ladders, except as otherwise indicated: Ladders shall be used only for the purpose for which they were designed. a) On or about 04/29/2022, employees were utilizing Werner 10ft. A-frame step-ladders. The ladders were closed, folded and leaning against the framed walls to access the second level of a new residential structure, these ladders were not being utilized for the purpose for which they were designed.
