Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.36(d)(1): Employee(s) were not able to open an exit route door from the inside at all times without keys, tools, or special knowledge: a) Dollar General Store #7988 - 3502 East Hillsborough Avenue Tampa, Florida 33610: The employer fails to ensure effective measures to prevent fire and entrapment hazards as demonstrated on or about April 8, 2022 and times prior, in the receiving/backroom, where employees move, work and retrieve merchandise. In that, the emergency exit double door required the use of a key in order to open. To abate this hazard, the employer must ensure that emergency exit doors are able to always open from the inside without keys, tools, or special knowledge. The Dolgencorp, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1910.36(d)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1376785, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on July 29, 2019, with respect to a workplace located at 7025 Us-231, Panama City, Florida.
