29 CFR 1910.22(a)(1): The employer did not ensure that all places of employment, passageways, storerooms, service rooms, and walking-working surfaces are kept in a clean, orderly, and sanitary condition. a) The employer fails to ensure effective protection against trip hazards as required by the standard, as demonstrated on or about March 29, 2022, at 3201 South Cobb Dr SE Smyrna, GA, when the receiving/storage room was not kept clean, sanitary, and orderly, preventing employees from moving product in and out of the receiving/storage room onto the sales floor and from delivery trucks. To abate this violation, the employer must ensure that the receiving/storage room is clean and organized.
