Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001 Hazard:
OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): of the Occupational Safety and Health Act: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees, in that employees were exposed to caught in hazards from guiding hot piping into the rollers. (a) Zekelman Industries, Inc., on or about March 25, 2022 at the address of 1 Council Street, Wheatland, PA: An employee was using a three foot guide bar to direct hot piping onto the rollers on the piping machine. The guide bar got caught between the piping and the rollers and pulling the individual into the hot piping, resulting in burns to the employees hand.
