1910.178(n)(5): Railroad tracks shall be crossed diagonally wherever possible. Parking closer than 8 feet from the center of railroad tracks is prohibited; On or about May 31, 2022 the employer did not ensure that powered industrial vehicles were parked more than 8 feet from the center of railroad tracks. The crane operator of the 439 Shipping crane was moving the rail mounted mule car towards the south to connect railcars. In this process, the mule made contact with the forklift that was on the west side of the tracks.
