29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1):One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: On or about March 2, 2022, and at times prior thereto, employees were exposed to machine guarding hazards: a) Employees were working in close proximity to the unguarded separator machine, the separator machine is a large rotating object with protruding parts, exposing employees to the hazard of being caught in the separator machine. b) Employees were working in close proximity to the tumbler machine which had a unguarded rotating wheel, exposing employees in the hazard of being caught in a nip point.
