29 CFR 1926.100(a): Employees were not protected by protective helmets while working in areas where there was a possible danger of head injury from impact, or from falling or flying objects, or from electrical shock and burns: a) On February 28, 2022, an employee working in a trench was not wearing protective helmet where there was a possible danger of head injury from falling objects. Capps Plumbing and Sewer, Inc., was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.100(a), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1460670, citation number 2, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on March 16, 2020, with respect to a workplace located at 1152 Silverwood Ct., Wheeling, Illinois 60090. Capps Plumbing and Sewer, Inc., was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.100(a), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1258097, citation number 2, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on September 27, 2017, with respect to a workplace located at 221 N. Elmhurst Ave., Mount Prospect, Illinois 60056. No abatement certification or documentation is required for this item.
