29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b): a. On or about February 23, 2022, at the above addressed jobsite, employees performing residential carpentry operations, twenty (20) feet seven (7) inches above ground, were not protected from falls, thereby exposing the employees to fall hazards. Basswood Construction Incorporated was previously cited for a violation of an equivalent occupational safety and health standard, 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1571130, citation number 2, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on January 27, 2022, with respect to a workplace located at 100 Chicago Ave. in Evanston, Illinois.
