29 CFR 1926.1051(a): Stairways or ladders were not provided at all personnel points of access where there was a break in elevation of 19 inches: (a) Parade Street Mechanicsburg, PA, living room area - Employee(s) were using a 6ft Warner stepladder in an open position to descend from the top of a trusses in a residential home with a break in elevation of 3 feet from the top of the ladder to the top of the truss, on or about February 23, 2022. (b) Parade Street Mechanicsburg, PA - Employee(s) were egressing the second floor into a closet space where the next stepping point had a break in elevation of more than 2 feet, on or about February 23, 2022. Abatement certification and documentation required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date and method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement. Abatement documentation shall include documents demonstrating that abatement is complete, such as evidence of the purchase or repair of equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement or other written records.
