29 CFR 1910.95(i)(2):Employers shall ensure that hearing protectors are worn: a) 214 Gates Rd Little Ferry, NJ: An employee using hammers and automatic wrenches to remove dried concrete from framing was monitored for 464 minutes and was exposed to continuous noise at 94.2 decibels averaged over 8-hours with zero exposure averaged for any unsampled time. The equivalent dose was 181% of OSHAs Permissible Exposure Limit for Noise, which is 90 decibels. The employer did not ensure that hearing protectors were worn, on or about February 17, 2022. b) 214 Gates Rd Little Ferry, NJ: An employee using hammers and automatic wrenches to remove dried concrete from framing was monitored for 454 minutes and was exposed to continuous noise at 97.7 decibels averaged over 8-hours with zero exposure averaged for any unsampled time. The equivalent dose was 292% of OSHAs Permissible Exposure Limit for Noise, which is 90 decibels. The employer did not ensure that hearing protectors were worn, on or about February 17, 2022.
