29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1):One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: (a) D&B Precision Products, Inc.: On or before 1/24/22 the employer did not protect employees from injury in that the Baldor belt sander in the sanding area was not equipped with a guard on its lower wheel. This condition exposed employees to ingoing nip point hazards. (b) D&B Precision Products, Inc.: On or before 1/24/22 the employer did not protect employees from injury in that the Baldor belt sander in the CNC area was not equipped with a guard on its lower wheel. This condition exposed employees to ingoing nip point hazards. Abatement Note: Abatement certification is not required for this item.
