29 CFR 1910.136(a): General requirements. The employer did not ensure that each affected employee uses protective footwear when working in areas where there is a danger of foot injuries due to falling or rolling objects or objects piercing the sole. On or about 1/14/2022, Steward Steel, located at 1219 East U.S. Hwy 62 in Sikeston, Missouri, did not ensure employees wore protective footwear while working in the fabrication area. An affected employee was operating a material handling equipment to move a 2788 lb steel beam. Steel toed footwear was not worn by an affected employee.
