OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1):The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees exposed to burns from hot grease/oil: a) On or about December 5, 2021, employees were exposed to burn hazards in that the employer did not require personal protective equipment (PPE) such as a well-fitted apron to protect the employee's torso from hot grease/oil while removing cooked bacon from the Blodgett Combi oven preheated to 374 degrees F. b) On or about December 5, 2021, the employer did not ensure employees removed grease from the pans between each use in the Blodgett Combi oven.
