29 CFR 1910.212(a)(3)(iii): Special hand tools for placing and removing material(s) was not provided to permit easy handling of material without the operator placing a hand in the danger zone: On or about October 18, 2021 and at times prior thereto, the employer did not ensure special hand tools were used when the machine guarding was not feasible to prevent employees from placing their hands into CNC bender #3 point of operation, exposing employees to amputation hazards. Employees placed and retrieved tubing with their hands in the point of operation, exposing the employees to amputation hazards. The ATCO Products, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.212(a)(3)(iii), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1536748, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on September 21, 2021, with respect to a final abatement date on September 10, 2021, with respect to a workplace located at 601 I-45 SOUTH FERRIS, TX 75125.
