29 CFR 1910.213(s)(9):Push sticks or push blocks shall be provided at the work place in the several sizes and types suitable for the work to be done. a) On or about October 22, 2021, the employer did not provide push sticks or push blocks or other suitable means to hold the wood against the fence of the saw while being cut by the Dewalt DSW779 Miter Saw. Employees were cutting wood less than 6 inches in length, which placed their hands within the marked hazardous zone of the saw, while holding the wood with their hand.
