29 CFR 1910.147(c)(4)(i): Procedures were not developed, documented and utilized for the control of potentially hazardous energy when employees were engaged in activities covered by this section: a) Front End - On or prior to October 21, 2021, procedures were not utilized by employees for the Line 1 Lubricator (Make: Perfecto, Model: 500-72, Serial Number: 87073) to perform maintenance and/or servicing work when performing a coil change operation exposing an employee to caught-in hazards due to the machine not being guarded and the reverse button malfunctioning. b) Front End - On or prior to October 27, 2021, procedures were not utilized by employees for the Line 2 Lubricator (Make: Perfecto, Model: 500-72, Serial Number: 87074) to perform maintenance and/or servicing work when performing a coil change operation exposing an employee to caught-in hazards due to the machine not being guarded. c) Front End - On or prior to October 27, 2021, procedures were not utilized by employees for the Line 3 Lubricator (Make: Perfecto, Model: 500-72, Serial Number: 87075) to perform maintenance and/or servicing work when performing a coil change operation exposing an employee to caught-in hazards due to the machine not being guarded. d) Front End - On or prior to October 27, 2021, procedures were not utilized by employees for the Line 4 Lubricator (Make: Perfecto, Model: 500-72, Serial Number: 89277) to perform maintenance and/or servicing work when performing a coil change operation exposing an employee to caught-in hazards due to the machine not being adequately guarded. Metal Container Corporation was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.147(c)(4)(i), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1352890, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 2/8/2019, with respect to a workplace located at 1201 Metal Container Ct, Windsor, CO 80550.
