Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001 Hazard:
OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to struck-by hazards. Melt Shop: On or about October 28, 2021, the employer failed to inspect the Skid Steer loader (JCB Model 330) and have all systems in good operational condition. The windshield was damaged, cracked and broken. This condition exposed employees to death and/or crushing injuries such as but not limited broken bones.
