29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b): a. The employer fails to ensure roofers laying shingles exposed to fall hazards of approximately 10 feet to the ground below are protected as demonstrated on or about 10/16/2021, at Lot #4 James Taylor Road, Moody, Alabama where employees were not protected from fall hazards. To abate this hazard, the employer must ensure employees are protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system. Pursuant to 29 CFR 1903.19, the employer must submit documents describing the measures it is taking to ensure compliance, including an explanation of how these steps protect its employees engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet or more above lower levels from fall hazards.
