29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): "Residential construction." Employees engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest systems. On 10/1/2021, employees of Cheltenham Construction Services, Inc. were working on a residential building located at 713 Alban Alley, O'Fallon, Missouri. Employees were installing sheathing to the roof of the residential structure. The slope of the roof was 12:12 (vertical to horizontal), approximately 21 feet above a lower level. Employees were not utilizing guardrail systems, a safety net system, or a personal fall arrest system. The employees were observed on the roof of the building without fall protection. Cheltenham Construction Services, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1455845, citation number 2, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 2/19/2020, with respect to a workplace located at Old Park Lane, Swansea, Illinois.
