Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employee in that employees were exposed to the hazard of being struck by or crushed by a Skid Steer front end loader: a) 722 Norristown Road Horsham, PA: On or about September 06, 2021, employees were exposed to caught-in hazards when riding on the grapple-bucket of an all-wheel steer loader. NOTE: AMONG OTHER METHODS, FEASIBLE MEANS OF ABATEMENT COULD INCLUDE, BUT MAY NOT BE LIMITED TO: Among others, some feasible means of abatement for this hazard is to ensure the Bobcat A770 All-Wheel Steer Loader is used in compliance with the Operations and Maintenance Manual, the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) safety manual for operating and maintenance personnel-Skid Steer and NIOSH Publication Number 2011-128, Preventing Injuries and Deaths from Skid-Steer Loaders, which states that workers must be trained to read and follow manufacturers procedures for operating and maintaining skid-steer loaders
