29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. a) Jobsite: 6501 New Street Rd, Philadelphia, PA - On or about August 19, 2021, the employer did not ensure that employees installing a green roof on an open canopy of a building, approximately 15 feet above the ground level, were protected from fall hazards by the use of a fall protection system. The EDA Contractors, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard, or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1348741 citation number 1, item number 3, and was affirmed as a final order on 4/25/19, with respect to a workplace located at 3315 Market St, Philadelphia, PA 19104.
