29 CFR 1910.134(c)(1):In any workplace where respirators are necessary to protect the health of the employees or whenever respirators are required by the employer, the employer did not establish and implement a written respiratory protection program with required worksite-specific procedures: On or about August 3, 2021 the employer did not develop and implement a written respiratory protection program with worksite-specific procedures for respirator use that included all provisions in 29 CFR 1910.134(c)(1)(i) - (ix). Respirators were necessary to protect the health of employees involved in the direct care and supervision of COVID-19 positive or suspected COVID-19 positive clients. ABATEMENT NOTE: A respirator program shall include the following elements: -Procedures for selecting respirators -Medical evaluations for employees required to use respirators -Procedures for fit testing tight fitting respirators -Procedures for proper use of respirators -Procedures and schedules for cleaning, storing, inspecting, and maintaining respirators -Training of employees about respiratory hazards in the work place -Training on proper use of respirators -Procedures for regularly evaluating the effectiveness of the program
