29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): Machines were not guarded in order to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a. On or about 07/20/2021, at tape line 5 - some finger guards were missing or were coming off easily from the conveyor line because the finger guards were not fastened to the structure. The lack of finger guards allowed for hands and gloves to be pulled in by the rollers, exposing employee to nip and pinch point hazards.
