Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001 Hazard:
OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1):The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to crushing hazards while operating automotive lifts: (a) ACTIONA JACKSON AUTO LLC at 41000 Highway 6, Avon, CO 81620: On or before August 2, 2021, the employer did not ensure that employees were safe from crushing and struck-by hazards in that 6 automotive lifts, including (2) Rotary 2 Post Surface Mounted automobile lifts, model numbers: SP010N700 and SP0A9-202, were not inspected periodically by a qualified inspector at least annually to ensure that they were properly used, maintained and functioning. This condition exposed employees to struck-by and crushed-by hazards. Abatement Note: Among other methods, feasible and acceptable methods of abatement would be to follow the requirements of ANSI/ALI ALOIM - Standard for Automotive Lifts - Safety Requirements for operation, Inspection and Maintenance, which includes, among other requirements, the following: Ensure that all automotive lifts are inspected by a qualified lift inspector at least annually.
