Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.141(a)(5):Vermin control. Every enclosed workplace shall be so constructed, equipped, and maintained, so far as reasonably practicable, as to prevent the entrance or harborage of rodents, insects, and other vermin. A continuing and effective extermination program shall be instituted where their presence is detected. On or about July 29, 2021, and times prior thereto, in the storage area in the back of the commercial building, employees were exposed to contact with rodents, rodent's feces, urine, or saliva, or rodent bites. Employer failed to implement effective extermination program.
