29 CFR 1926.501(b)(7)(ii): Each employee at the edge of a well, pit, shaft, or similar excavation 6 feet (1.8 m) or more in-depth was not protected from falling by guardrail systems, fences, barricades, or covers. On or about July 14, 2021, employees of Sunland Construction Inc. worked around the edge of an open excavation that was over six feet in depth with no barriers, guardrails, or personal fall protection.
