29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a) Line 7: On or about July 12, 2021 and times prior, employees lift the guard on the end sealer while it is running to observe the operation and/or remove wrappers and sticks. The guard was not securely in place or interlocked to prevent exposure to moving parts.
