Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.212(a)(2):Machine guard(s) on machine(s) were so installed that they offered accident hazards in themselves: Beckett Air, Inc. - North Ridgeville, OH: On or about July 8, 2021, the employer did not ensure the movable guard on Riveter machines such as, but not limited to, machines located at Lines 15 and 29, were used in a manner that did not create a hazard. Employees that loaded parts in the machine were exposed to pinch points created by the moving guard. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET), and in addition, documentation demonstrating that abatement is complete must be included with your certification. This documentation may include, but is not limited to, evidence of the purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence, or written records.
