Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001 Hazard:
29 CFR OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to electrical shock and arc flash hazards: (a) During installation of a generator transfer switch and related components in the mechanical room at Hannaford Supermarket in Glens Falls, NY: On or prior to 6/14/21, employees performed work on energized equipment, including, but not limited to a 1200 Amp 3 phase Main Distribution Panel operating at 480 volts, without performing an arc-flash hazard analysis, using insulated tools, or determining if deenergized work was infeasible or created an increased risk.
