29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1):One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a) #4 Trim Waste Conveyor: On or about May 19, 2021 and at times prior, the employer exposed employees engaged to caught-in and amputation hazards in that an ingoing nip point at the return roller of the #4 Trim Waste Conveyor was not effectively guarded while employees perform job tasks such as cleaning in and around the conveyor.
