29 CFR 1910.212(a)(3)(ii): Point of operation guards were not designed and constructed as to prevent the operator from having any part of their body in the danger zone during the operating cycle: a) Production Area: On or about April 28, 2021, and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to amputation hazards, in that guarding was not adequate for preventing operators from having any part of their body in the point of operation of the Artos downpipe machines during the operating cycle while employees load the machine. Spectra Metal Sales, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 1910.212(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1328871, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on April 1, 2019, with respect to a workplace located at 5100 140th Ave. N, Clearwater, Florida.
