29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: A.) Rabe Environmental Systems, Inc., 2545 West Grandview Blvd., Erie, PA 16506, on or about April 28, 2021 and times prior thereto: Employees were performing tasks associated with the installation of HVAC units. Employees were not utilizing an acceptable means of method of fall protection when exposed to a fall hazard of 14.4-feet to the ground below. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION AND DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED: Abatement certification is required within 10 days after the abatement date noted on the citation. This certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date abatement was completed, method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement. IN ADDITION, abatement documentation shall include documents demonstrating that abatement is complete, such as evidence of the purchase or repair of equipment, photographic, or video evidence or abatement or other written records.
