29 CFR 1910.1030(d)(4)(iii)(A)(2)(i):During use, containers for contaminated sharps were not easily accessible to personnel or located as close as was feasible to the immediate area where sharps were used or could be reasonably anticipated to be found: RESIDENT ROOMS: On, or about, and at times prior to March 28, 2021, sharps containers were not located as close as was feasible to where sharps were used to allow for immediate disposal after use. Nurses administering injections and performing needlesticks had to transport used sharps to the resident's bathroom or the med cart in the hallway for disposal in sharps containers.
