29 CFR 1926.20(b)(1):It shall be the responsibility of the employer to initiate and maintain such programs as may be necessary to comply with this part. The employer will not develop and maintain safety and health programs for employees, such as a fall protection program for roofing work activities. This most recently occurred on March 16, 2021, at the 282 Riverside Drive, Commercial Point, Ohio jobsite. The employer failed to develop and implement a safety and health program for employees performing roofing work onsite. Jara Construction Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health standard 29 CFR 1926.20(b)(1) which was contained in inspection numbers: 1) 1512315, Cit 1, Item 1, Issued on 02/18/2021 2) 1479765, Cit 2, Item 1, Issued on 07/08/2020 3) 1450503, Cit 1, Item 1, Issued on 01/08/2020 Pursuant to 29 CFR 1903.19, the employer must submit documents describing the steps it is taking to ensure compliance, including a description of how these steps protect its employees from the fall hazards associated with roofing work construction activities.
