Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001 Hazard:
29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1):The employer shall provide a training program for each employee who might be exposed to fall hazards. The program shall enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and shall train each employee in the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards. a.) On or about March 8, 2021, employees were exposed to fall hazards when performing roofing activities on a high-pitched residential roof and were not adequately trained to recognize the hazards associated with not using a complete fall protection system. Employees were exposed to a 17 feet 4 inch and 10 feet 5 inch fall hazard from the roof while not using a complete personal fall restraint system.
